About Us

A  Counseling Ministry that Believes in the Sufficiency of Scripture

The Biblical Counseling Ministry was founded in August 2003 by Paul and Maddie Walberg. Paul and Maddie's belief in the sufficiency of Scripture to address the issues of our lives and transform us to God's glory prompted them to begin this ministry trusting that God would use His Word powerfully in the lives of others.

In March 2022, Pastor Gary Knapp assumed the role of Executive Director of SWBCM. You can get to know Gary by visiting our Staff page.

Still Waters Biblical Counseling Ministry is just that, a ministry. We do believe it is important for those who seek counsel to invest in the process of transformation and for this reason, we request a suggested donation to the ministry for each session. However, we don't want finances to keep people from receiving help from our ministry. If finances are an issue for you, we are glad to discuss your situation with you.

We welcome the financial support of individual believers and churches. Your gifts to our ministry help provide Biblical counsel to those who are struggling financially.  SWBCM is overseen by a local Board of Trustees and is recognized as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization by the IRS and is officially incorporated with the State of Ohio.

Your gifts to our ministry are tax-deductible.
