Duke Crawford

Director/Biblical Counselor

Pastor Duke is senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Toledo, Ohio. Before coming to Emmanuel in 2009, he was senior pastor in Iowa. He is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College and Seminary, and a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).

Duke and his wife Deb, have 3 grown children: Anthony, Austin (Ametheny) and Abby (Jason). He is also proud papa to their first grandchild, Calvin Benjamin.

Liana Bomar

Biblical Counselor

My name is Liana Bomar; I am married 40 years to my high school sweetheart. Mother of one daughter, two sons, and Grammy to two beautiful little girls.

I came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at 18 years of age, and that is when I began my journey of learning what it meant to live a life for Jesus.

God tells me to come to him when I am weary, burdened, or overwhelmed. He tells me to cast all my anxiety on him because he cares for me (1 Peter 5:7) and he promises to be my refuge and strength an ever-present help in times of trouble psalm 46:1.

In 2006 I was introduced to Biblical Counseling. This is where I saw firsthand and understood that the word of God is all I need for life and godliness. I began counseling in 2009 and became an ACBC certified counselor in 2019.

Taylor Wright

Pastor/Biblical Counselor

Though I grew up in a church-hopping home and thought church was boring,
God used a summer camp to change my life from pursuing the things of
this world to seeking His face and glory. During high school, I wrestled
through issues of pride, sexual immorality, anger, sorrow, video games,
and loneliness, but it was only in college through God's Word that I
began to see my life change. In college, I participated in a campus
ministry and served in a local church's youth ministry.

I married my lovely wife Sarah in 2014 in the summer after I finished my
undergraduate degree. I worked a couple of jobs in service and IT while
also serving as an unordained pastor of youth ministry.

I started my seminary education in 2017, while serving as a director of youth
ministry, and obtained my counseling credentials from the Association of
Certified Biblical Counselors in 2020. I graduated seminary in May 2021
with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts of Christian Counseling.
I began serving as the Pastor of Stonebridge Church in Perrysburg, OH in
March 2022.

Sarah and I now have three kids. It is my prayer that you
would know God's grace and the power of His Spirit working through His
Word to bring hope to your life.

John Tursic

Biblical Counselor

My name is John Tursic.

Coming to faith much later in life did not prevent me from experiencing the life altering, heart changing saving grace of Jesus Christ. God’s mercy led me to understand what it means to be loved, rescued and given a purpose. This knowledge also enabled me to be grateful for every one of those life experiences, no matter how horrific they were at the time, as God used them all to grow and mature me.

Several years ago, I was introduced to Biblical Counseling becoming an ACBC certified counselor January 1st 2023. I cherish each opportunity God provides to meet with those who have are facing difficulties from the past or sins of the present. Through His word, God graciously provides knowledge, wisdom and strength to overcome all that hinders us.
